Description:
Legend of Mana takes place in the world of Fa’Diel where the Mana Tree, the world’s source of life and energy, burnt down 9 centuries ago. Its powers remained in different artifacts and war erupted as people fought to collect them. Through time, the Mana Tree’s power faded from the objects, peace returned but people forgot about the Mana Tree and its message. The hero of the game must bring back the world to its greatness. Players make decisions that develop their personality and shape the world. The hero must complete 67 quests, divided into 3 sub stories: the Jumi Arc, the Dragon Arc and the Faerie Arc. Players must also face a final task, “Legend of Mana”, which restores the Mana Tree.
Legend of Mana contains mild combats within a fantasy setting, which allow players to complete quests and restore balance to the world. As the game allows players to shape their own world, it encourages creativity and does not require linear play.

Why the library should carry it:
Legend of Mana teaches a lesson about conflict resolution, reconciliation and overcoming old quarrels. It also has a positive message about respecting the environment.  
Players can finish the game by completing the quests of any of the sub plots along with the final quest, which makes it convenient for shorter playtime.
